Former Governor Senator Danjuma Goje has been expelled from the All Progressive Congress (APC) Gombe chapter.

Goje, who represents Gombe Central, has been embroiled in a feud with Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and party executives, which resulted in his suspension last year.

It was later resolved, and he was reinstated to the party before he could run for the party ticket in the February general elections.

Announcing Goje’s expulsion after a closed- door meeting by the Kashere ward executives at Vocational Training School Kashere, the ward Chairman, Tanimu Abdullahi said it was in line with article 21 subsection (1), (2) and (3) of the party constitution as amended.

He said Goje was warned through a letter of his anti-party activities and replied but never desisted from doing so.

Abdullahi added that when Goje was invited by the five-man committee to investigate his activities during the last general elections, he refused to honour the invitation.

“During the election, some of Goje supporters were caught warning people not to vote for any other person in APC other than Senator Danjuma Goje.

“We warned them to stop their actions but they did not heed out warnings. Consequently, I on behalf of the entire members of Kashere ward hereby expelled Senator Danjuma Goje from the party,” he said.

Gombe APC chapter also suspended Senator Bulus K Amos and a House of Representatives member, Yunusa Ahmad Abubakar for similar offense.

A statement by Gombe Publicity Secretary, Mr Moses Kyari, said Amos, representing Gombe South, was suspended by the ward executives of the APC in Bambam Ward of Balanga Local Government.

According to him, Senator Amos was suspended over anti-party activities during the general elections.

He said the suspension was as a result of a petition from his ward, which caused a five-member committee to investigate and get to the roots of the matter.
