The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has immortalized the immediate past Governor of the state by renaming The First Technical University, Ibadan to Late Governor Abiola Ajimobi Technical University.

Gov. Makinde made the announcement during the second convocation ceremony of the school.

Abiola Ajimobi was the governor of the state from 2011 to 2019 under All Progressive Congress (APC).
