Aririguzo felicitates with Nwanguma as Imo NUJ Chairman
Sir Cyril Aririguzo, a renowned Publisher and Editor-In-Chief of Newsedge Newspaper has congratulated Comrade Ifeanyi Nwanguma on his emergence as elected Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Imo State Chapter.
Nwanguma the Publisher and Editor in chief of Star post Newspaper was elected during the union state Delegates Conference, held recently in Owerri.
In a media chat in Owerri, Sir Aririguzo lauded the union’s delegates for electing Ifeanyi Nwanguma for the position.
He expressed optimism that Nwaguma would perform very well in this assignment, given the mentoring he has received from the past leadership of the union where he served diligently all these years.
He opined that Nwanguma’s emergence will definitely unify and stabilised Imo NUJ to large extent. His emergence according to him will bring the desired peace and harmony that has been lacking for some time now. His victory has brought a lot of candour and panache to NUJ leadership in Imo state.
Aririguzo maintained that he has never doubted the ability of Ifeanyi Nwanguma to effectively lead the union to enviable heights.

Sir Aririguzo charged him and all the others elected with him to provide good leadership, that can guarantee peace in the union and bring Imo journalists to one page.
He observed that the media as Fourth Estate of the Realm must, at this critical time in our country, prominently play its fundamental watchdog role, holding leaders accountable to the people, lead in directing governance on the right path, including the rule of law, and ensure that all tenets of democracy are upheld in the country.”
