TINUBU TO EMPOWER, DEVELOP NIGERIAN WOMEN FOR NATIONAL GREATNESS – HON. AMB. GINIKA TOR.

Hon. Amb. Ginika Tor, The Honourable Federal Commissioner representing Enugu State in the Federal Character Commission and the Founder, Igbo Kwenu 4 Asiwaju has called on Nigerian women to vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2023 Presidential Election.
Hon. Ginika Tor, A grassroot mobiliser and a Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress stated that Asiwaju is committed to the development and empowerment of Nigerian women.
In her words, “No politician in Nigeria today can boast of supporting more women than Asiwaju, under his watch, women has aspired and has become Senators, Honourable Members, Director Generals of Agencies, Heads of parastatals among others”.
“Asiwaju is the only Political Leader that women who were recently honoured with National Honoured visited and paid Homage, The Vice Presidential Candidate of our party is not left behind in women empowerment, Senator Kashim Shettima is known to pioneer gender mainstreaming during his tenure as governor of Borno state where he appointed four female commissioners and birthed several women empowerment Initiatives”.
Hon. Ginika Tor further stated that Asiwaju Tinubu in his “Renewed Hope” Document made it abundantly clear that equity and fairness to women,
greater equality and the economic empowerment of women shall be a top priority and the heart of his national agenda.
She reaffirmed that Asiwaju in his policy document cum manifesto revealed that his government will ensure that “women have an equal chance to enter and excel in all relevant aspects of our nation’s social, economic and political life”.
She reiterated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment that his administration shall establish the programs and policies to promote more female inclusion in politics, governance and the economy while commercial banks will be encouraged to support women owned businesses nationwide through the use of concessionary loans and incentive schemes.
She further restated that, Asiwaju Tinubu will work with the National Assembly to pass legislation promoting female employment in all government
offices, ministries, agencies and mandate the federal executive (particularly the cabinet and core senior advisers) to reserve a minimum number of senior positions for women. Private
institutions shall be strongly encouraged to do likewise as well as increase women’s participation in government to at least 35 percent of all governmental positions.
