2023: Mgbee Community Endorses Omeogo For Reps Seat, Declares support for Uzodimma, APC
The good people of Mgbee Community in Orlu LGA of Imo State, over the weekend, endorsed the 2023 APC candidate for Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency Seat, Hon. High Chief Canice Moore Nwachukwu Omeogo Ogbaturuenyi Na Orlu, who according to them, is the most qualified candidate to represent them at the Nigeria Green Chamber.
The people who threw their weight on Omeogo in an event which took place at the Holy Cross Catholic Church Mgbee, witnessed great programs like music, cultural dance and masquerades displays.
Omeogo who arrived the venue of the occasion together with his campaign team and a lot of dignitaries, visited the house of Traditional Prime Minister of the Mgbee community, Chief Chris Ubah, where he and some cabinet members received him with some special dancing steps only performed and understood by great men.
Leaving the house of the Community TPM, the tremendous crowd moved to the venue of the occasion where Omeogo and his team were received by the happy and joyous people of Mgbee.
After the opening prayers and presentation of kola nuts, Omeogo and his entourage were officially welcomed with cultural dances and cannon gunshots.
Stating his reasons for the visit, Omeogo told his hosts that he has come to be with them and to seek for their support and votes during the 2023 general elections.
He further assured them of his preparedness and readiness to work with them in bettering the community and to bring in dividends of democracy to them as soon as he wins the election.
Omeogo also seized the opportunity to plead with them to support other candidates of APC while admonishing them to be peace loving people and to keep supporting the government of Senator Hope Uzodinma to enable them to continuously enjoy more dividends of democracy.
The High point of the event was the presentation of two Wheel Chairs to Physically Challenged Youths of the community: Uzoma Obiagwu and Chinoso Dim respectively.
The epoch making event saw a large number of indigenes of Mgbee Community led by the Prime Minister, Chief Chris Ubah, other members of the cabinet, Chief Enwerem Ogunede and a strong PDP member, Hon. Okoronkwo Ambrose (Taribo) who defected from PDP, as well as other political parties who joined the APC.
Speaking on behalf of the community and others who joined the party earlier, the Prime Minister of the community, Chief Chris Ubah, explained that their reasons for cross carpeting to APC were their absolute love, loyalty and willingness to work and support Omeogo and the Senator Hope Uzodimma led government to succeed in their political aspirations.
They went further to describe the APC candidate for Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency, Hon. High Chief Canice Moore Nwachukwu as a straight-forward person who would never forget them when he gets to the house.
The people also commended the Governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodimma, who according to them remembered them by flagging off the construction of Orlu, Mgbee, Akokwa Road to Uga in Anambra State, a road they said was a nightmare to the community and having been abandoned by past administrations.
In the glaring of everyone, they tore up their old party cards and were warmly received into the APC by Omeogo and other leaders of the party who are the Chairman of APC, Orlu LGA, Rt. Hon. Prince Stanley Nwosu (Ochinwata), the Imo State Commissioner for Education, Prof. Sylvester Okorondu, the State Woman Leader of APC, Hon. Chief Mrs. Ifeoma Ndukwu, the Director General of Omeogo Campaign Organization, Hon. Chief Cyril Okafor, Ekwueme Orsu, Chief Obinna Ebi, Ubaburueze, Chief Azubuike Nnajiuba, General Nanto, Chief Ikenna Egwuatu, Ozuomee, Comrade Duke Nwaka, Hon. Evangelist Magnus Nnadi, the Coordinator of Omeogo Campaign Organization, Orlu LGA, Hon. Greg Ngobidi Nwosu, the Chairman of APC in Orlu/Mgbee/Government Station Ward, Hon. Emmanuel Ogoh, APC Woman Leader in Orlu LGA, Mrs. Helen Ogbe, Hon. Peter Okolie, Hon. Charles Ebonuma, SSA to the Imo State Governor on Persons with Disability, Hon. Izuchukwu Ohajimmadu, Chief Victor Maduamaka, Hon. Uche Mbachu, Hon. Benneth Ugochukwu, Hon. Befred and so many past IMC Members and Ward Chairmen among others.
On the way back, fortunately, the Omeogo Campaign Train was stopped by an old woman who happens to be the mother of Taribo who has heard some of the good things Omeogo does for the people, prayed for him and blessed him, as Omeogo assured her of victory in the election.
