SELF CONDENMNATION AND SELF RIGHTEOUSNESS ARE TWIN BROTHERS HATED BY GOD – Pastor Isaac Olutimehin
TEXT:
Isaiah 1:18 KJV.
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool”.
MESSAGE.
☆☆☆ I often wonder if those people who consider themselves as terrible sinners and believe God can never forgive them, ever read the above verse of the bible.
☆☆☆ As much as God does not condole sin, for his eyes do not behold iniquity, he still loves sinners but only hates sin.
☆☆☆ For the bible says 👇
Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity….” – Habakkuk – 1:13
☆☆☆ God’s love for sinners is what makes the Almighty to be making this call “come let us reason together”.
☆☆☆ There is no amount of sins that the blood of Jesus cannot watch away.
“Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow”.
☆☆☆ The blood of Jesus can still transform the worst sinners to becoming the best of saints.
☆☆☆ Saul was a worst sinner at a time who later became the best of saints.
☆☆☆ He was transformed to become Paul the apostle who did great exploits for the master.
☆☆☆ Self condemnation is killing many people today and blocking them from running to cavalry for the remission of their sins.
☆☆☆ If you fall into sin, for example, run to Jesus and he will abundantly pardon.
☆☆☆ Self condemnation will often say “No”, he cannot forgive you.
☆☆☆ I once heard the sad story of a vibrant brother who fell into the sin of fornication. He later committed suicide because self condemnation convinced him that he could never be forgiven.
☆☆☆ Paul the apostle was talking about “a torn in the flesh” in 2 Corinthians 12:7-9.
☆☆☆ He went further to explain that this torn in the flesh was given to him, …to buffet him, “lest I should be exalted above measure”.
☆☆☆ Though Paul didn’t tell us what this “torn in the flesh” was but it was meant to checkmate him each time he wanted to see himself as being better than others. Self righteousness.
☆☆☆ I met a pastor years back who once boasted that he could sleep on the same bed with a matured sister and ‘nothing’ would happen between them.
☆☆☆ This is pride emanating from self righteousness.
☆☆☆ In the first place, why must he even think of sleeping on the same bed with an opposite sex?
☆☆☆ Secondly, what did he understand by “abstain from all appearance of evil” – 1 Thessalonians 5:22.
☆☆☆ Thirdly, I saw that boast as a device of the devil to bring him down.
☆☆☆ If he was that holy and ‘perfect’, what about the sister touching him at the dead of the night!!!
☆☆☆ Beloved, nobody should turn himself to a Pharisee in the presence of the Most Holy God.
☆☆☆ He alone is perfect and holy, no one else.
☆☆☆ God is still calling “come let us reason together”.
☆☆☆ Don’t ignore this call today. God bless you.
PRAYERS
1. Oh God my father, please Lord, deliver me from the vice of self righteousness in Jesus name.
2. Give me the grace Lord, to see myself in the nakedness of your word and make amends in Jesus name.
3. Father, don’t allow me to die in the condemnation of self righteousness in Jesus name.
4. I refuse to be a captive of self condenmation and self righteousness in the name of Jesus.
5. Please Lord, let grace speak for me on the altar of judgement in Jesus name.
6. Father, give me the grace to acknowledge those things I cannot change and to be at peace with myself.
7. I will not take your grace for granted Lord.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
I pray, may you not become a captive of self condemnation in Jesus name.
May you not take the grace made available by Jesus as an invitation to commit sins.
I decree, every sin which the devil (the accuser of brethren) is still bringing into your remembrance, shall the blood of Jesus wipe away today in Jesus name.
You will not be a victim of ignorance in Jesus name.
Grace will speak for you on the altar of judgement in Jesus mighty name.
