TRUE LOVE GIVES AND GIVES BUT LUST TAKES UNDUE ADVANTAGE – Pastor Issac Olutimehin

1 John 2:15 KJV.
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him”.
MESSAGE
☆☆☆ To get the full understanding of what the Holy Spirit wants to teach us today, we need to really understand what “the love of the Father” really means.
☆☆☆ The bible says đŸ‘‡
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” – John 3:16.
☆☆☆ Wait a minute, is this not confusing!!!
☆☆☆ The Father, in his word (the bible) said, “love not the world” and now our main verse for today is saying “For God (the Father) so loved the world”.
☆☆☆ I don’t know if what I am about to share here, which I read somewhere, was a joke or not.
☆☆☆ A 7 year old boy asked his Sunday School teacher, 1 John 2:15 says “love not the world” but John 3:16 says “for God so loved the world”. The boy now queried his teacher, so why did God love the world and He is preventing us from loving the world?
☆☆☆ Beloved, whether the question of that little boy was a joke or not, this is going to be the basis of our discussion for today.
☆☆☆ When a man loves the world, he actually does not love it but loves the things that are in the world.
☆☆☆ This includes, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.
☆☆☆ For the bible says đŸ‘‡
“For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world” – 1 John 2:16.
☆☆☆ Today, when a man is wealthy or occupies a privileged position, he will have so many friends around him.
☆☆☆ Do you think those friends are true friends who really love him? Their love is for those things they can benefit from their friend.
☆☆☆ They will withdraw from him immediately he is no longer beneficial or relevant to them anymore.
☆☆☆ Several people today find it so difficult to detach themselves from loving the world because they want to own exotic cars, build or buy houses in choice cities and countries of the world, etc.
☆☆☆ Beloved, these things are not expected to be our pursuit because the bible encourages us to seek God first, then those things we had wanted to labour for, shall become our gains.
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” – Matthew 6:33.
☆☆☆ Talking about “For God so loved the world”, note what follows after that statement đŸ‘‡
“That he gave”.
☆☆☆ The love of God towards the world is for the world to benefit from God. But the love of man towards the same world is for man to benefit from the world. Can you now see the difference?
☆☆☆ God gave his son, Jesus, to the world. In other words, God gave salvation to the world. God took steps to deliver the world from destruction.
☆☆☆ Today, many believers cannot even share the gospel with their friends who are yet to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
☆☆☆ If you claim to love, you will prove it by giving. God loves and proved this by giving.
☆☆☆ Beloved, it is not possible for you to love without giving but you can give without loving.
☆☆☆ Somebody said, “no money no honey”. If, as a woman, your husband is “honey” only when he has “money” to shower on you, then you don’t love him but you only love his money.
☆☆☆ Today, if somebody says to you, “I love you”, you better quickly check all around you to see what he actually loves.
☆☆☆ When what attracts somebody to you, such as, “the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life”; are no longer visible in your life; he/she will disappear.
☆☆☆ God loves because he is interested in giving. Man loves because he is only interested in receiving.
☆☆☆ True love gives and gives but lust pretends to love and only waiting to take undue advantage of his victims. Beware.
¶¶¶ A man claimed to love a lady so much and the lady believed him. The lady had a motor accident and her face was mutilated.
When the man came to visit her in the hospital, he hardly recognized her. She had lost her beauty which was her means of attraction. That was the last time the man looked for her.
This lady found help and was later flown abroad for a plastic surgery. The surgery was perfect and her beauty returned.
When this lady returned to Nigeria, she appeared on a national television to thank those who assisted her.
When the man who abandoned her, after the accident, saw how beautiful she had become; he went looking for her, pleading that he was afraid seeing her condition and that was why he left her then.
☆☆☆ Beloved, True love gives and gives but lust takes undue advantage
BEWARE.

PRAYERS
1. Father, don’t allow me to become a victim of blind love in Jesus name.
2. I refuse to become a prey to lust and ungodly affections in Jesus name.
3. Father, as I take a journey through the path of love, don’t allow me to partner with a Judas who betrayed Jesus with a kiss.
4. Father, separate me from those who merely want to take advantage of my generosity to defraud me.
5. Oh God my father, flush out of my life, every unfriendly friend pretending as true friends.
6. Father, please connect with me with tireless helpers who will help me to achieve my dreams.
7. Please Lord, don’t allow me to miss my destiny helpers in Jesus name.
8. Father, please surround me with life builders in Jesus name.
9. Father, please, plant your agape love in me, even to love those who persecute me for your name sake.
10. Oh God my father, let the love of God motivate my giving henceforth in Jesus name.
PROPHETIC PRAYERS
I pray for somebody today, may the Lord enlighten you more on “love not the world”.
May you begin to love as God the Father loves.
May the Lord surround you with people who will love you with the love of the Father.
I decree and declare, the Lord will separate from you those who love you only for gains.
I decree, the Lord will not allow you to be connected with those who will benefit from your sweat and later begin to dig your grave.
Every Judas around you shall not be hidden but will be exposed and disgraced in Jesus name.
I command every parasite loitering around you to disappear.
I decree, the love of this world will not separate you from the love of the Father.
I pray, the Lord shall build around you people who will impact your life positively in Jesus name.
May the Father’s kind of love replace the worldly love in and around you.
God is love, may his love manifest in your marriage.
Send down Oh Lord that Agape love which the world has lost in Jesus mighty name.
