Lady shares worst travel mistake, sent back to home country from UK airport
A lady has shared her frustrating travel experience after being denied entry at a UK airport and sent back to her home country due to a missing transit visa.

The traveller, who goes by the handle @mslelob, revealed that she was excited to embark on her journey to Italy but was stopped at the airport because she had not obtained the required transit visa for her layover in the UK.

She was denied access to her connecting flight and advised to return home for proper planning which would involve having a transit visa.

Despite having bought her tickets and bidding farewell to her loved ones, her plans came to an abrupt halt. She admitted that her lack of research led to the costly mistake.

“My worst travel mistake resulted in me being sent back home from the airport. Imagine getting to the airport, bags packed, and you told everyone goodbye. You get to the airport, and they told you to go back home,” she wrote.
