The SV-NED Mining Company recently paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty, Engr. Alhaji Bashir Olalekan Abioye, the Onigbeti of Igbeti Land, Oyo State, Nigeria, to celebrate his one-year anniversary.
The visit was led by the Executive Managing Director and Executive Board Member, Captain Dada Olaniyi Labinjo, and Executive Board Member, Chief Ekundayo Morakinyo.
The delegation represented HRH Queen Mother Amb. Amina Temitope Labinjo Ajayi, JP, also known as Mama Diaspora, who is the Chairman/CEO of SV-NED Mining Company Ltd. During the visit, they commended His Royal Majesty for his leadership and commitment to the development of Igbeti Land.
The event marked an important milestone in the relationship between SV-NED Mining Company and the Igbeti community. The company has been actively involved in promoting economic development and social welfare in the region.

The Chairman of Silicon Valley Nigeria Economic Development Incorporated USA (SV-NED), HRH Ambassador Queen Mother Temitope Amina Labinjo-Ajayi, popularly known as ” Mama Diaspora” and the Seriki of Igbetiland, Oyo State, Chief Emmanuel Ayodele Adediran, have expressed optimism that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda will transform Nigeria.
In a statement, to celebrate the one year anniversary of His Royal Highness, Seriki of IgbetiLand, Capt. Labinjo-Ajayi, Rtd. commended President Tinubu’s efforts, stating that mining can lead to economic diversification, reduce dependence on oil, and promote economic stability. He also highlighted the potential of mining to boost foreign exchange earnings, promote local content development, and stimulate economic growth.

Meanwhile, Adediran has appealed to the government to provide a University of Agriculture in the area, which will harness the agricultural, mining, and skill potential in the area for national development. He also requested the renovation of a hospital built over 50 years ago, which still lacks medical equipment and facilities.
The Seriki expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for creating an enabling environment for foreign investors, despite political differences. He also thanked SV-NED Mining Company for investing in Igbetiland, stating that their activities will promote economic development, skill acquisition, and infrastructural development in the area, ” the statement concluded.
