LP sets date for Anambra Governorship primary
The Labour Party has announced April 5 as the date for its governorship primary in Anambra State, ahead of the November 8, 2025 election.
The decision was made by the party’s National Executive Committee and communicated by the National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Obiora Ifoh, in a statement on Tuesday.

Ifoh further revealed that the party’s National Secretary, Alhaji Umar Ibrahim, had published the timetable and schedule of activities for the Anambra 2025 governorship primaries. The timetable outlines key dates, including the commencement of the sale of expression of interest and nomination forms on February 10. The sale of delegates’ forms will begin on March 20.
He encouraged all aspirants to visit the party’s national headquarters to collect the necessary guidelines for the primaries and other relevant information.
