The state Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof. Isa Maishanu, announced this in a statement on Friday, noting that the initiative aligns with the governor’s nine-point agenda.

To ease the financial burden on families, Aliyu also approved the payment of online registration fees for all beneficiaries.

Maishanu said, “This noble gesture is designed to help indigent students secure admission into Nigerian universities and other tertiary institutions.”

The distribution of JAMB/UTME and DE PINs will take place at the 23 local government secretariats across the state.

“Interested candidates must visit their respective secretariats to collect and complete the necessary data forms. The state Ministry for Higher Education will oversee the process to ensure a smooth exercise,” he added.

The statement, however, said interested parties must generate a Profile Code by texting “NIN (space) followed by the eleven-digit National Identification Number (NIN) to 55019.”

The statement added, “Only candidates who meet the academic criteria—a minimum of five credits, including Mathematics and English—will be eligible for this opportunity.

“The ministry encourages all beneficiaries to study diligently and make the most of this generous support.”
