The lawmaker representing Owo/Ose Federal constituency, Otunba Dr. Timehin Adelegbe has congratulated the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and the Deputy Governor, Dr. Olayide Adelami mni on their victory in the Court of Appeal as against the wish of the opposition party.
The Congratulatory message was contained in a statement signed and released to Newsmen on Tuesday evening by the Lawmaker’s Spokesperson, Olaniyi Eni-Olotu, describing the Appeal Court judgment upholding the electoral victory of the Governor and the Deputy Governor as victory for democracy.
Otunba Adelegbe stated that the Ondo State people have made their choice known through the massive show of love for Aiyedatiwa and Adelami as clearly revealed in the landslide victory for the APC in the Governorship election.
The Lawmaker however calls on Agboola Ajayi, the PDP candidate, to accept the verdict of the Ondo State people that has been upheld and confirmed by the Appeal Court and allow the administration focus on the delivery of its commitments to the good people of Ondo State.
In the interest of our dear Sunshine State, it’s about time we put an end to all litigations arising from the outcome of the last Governorship election in Ondo State as the good people of Ondo State have spoken loud and clear enough.
Court case will continue to distract quality delivery of service to the people of Ondo state, there is always another day for another opportunity, let’s join hand of support for the Governor and his Deputy as they begin the new journey of State affairs.
