RE: UNMASKING THE PLOT BEHIND HON MIRIAM ONUOHA’S ELECTRICITY SUMMIT
…..KNOWN POLITICAL JOBBERS SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED TO POLITICIZE THE WELFARE OF OKIGWE NORTH

We refer to the malicious and baseless write up of Monday, 5th September 2022. Put forward by an ignorant reporter in the person of Chidiebube Okeoma and published on some social media platforms.
Ordinarily, we would not have found it worthy of response. But we hereby deem it fit so as not to have the unsuspecting public misled, as he has notoriously intended.
For records and clarity purposes, The HPMO Power / Electricity Stakeholders & Consumers Forum brought together over 8 government agencies and related consumer stakeholders to discuss the various power and electricity issues bedeviling Okigwe North Federal Constituency.
The malicious write up and it’s writer in a hasty but fruitless bid to discredit the first and most worthy program’s outcome forgot to see its merits where issues of :
1) Ezinnachi Okigwe Sub station / Transmission line project by Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) including the commitment to quickly restore the original Okigwe power line as a matter of urgency which existed before, were tackled by the TCN director.
2) Over Billing on local consumers, where as over N5m in most cases as presented by Village electricity chairmen and community President generals.
And yes EEDC officials were summoned on ground to answer to the questions to reconcile the outrageous bills.
3) Rural Electrification Agency REA were around to provide nexus for the Off grid investment Fund to bring electricity to yet to be captured communities within Okigwe North.
4) Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission NERC was present to educate the public and consumers. Like about their rights and obligations with regards to electricity consumption.
5) Federal Competitions and Consumers Protection Council FCCPC was around and presented the right schedule of billing for electricity consumers which brought EEDC on their knees with regards to estimates billing and it’s excesses.
6) Civil Defense attended to read the riot act on their mandate to protect public utilities and the penalties for vandalizing power / electricity Utilities.
7) EEDC top management from PortHarcout and Enugu regions, were on ground and they undertook a commitment to fix key power infrastructure not functioning. With a Committee formed there, by the concerned communities to protect and safeguard not to vandalize them again
8) High point was the setting up and inauguration of the Okigwe Power and electricity Joint committee and the Okigwe Power Declaration on the 31 August 2022.
9) The executive governor of Imo State, HE Senator Hope Uzodimma was present, dully represented by his Special Adviser on Power and Electricity, Hon Sam Nwaire, who until his appointment, has the experience of working in the power sector for over fourty years, made fruitful contributions and enlightening the the people and power stakeholders/providers on how best to resolve the challenges facing us. He also assured of state Government’s intervention towards alleviating the plight of various communities in Okigwe North, having Electricity challenges.
That event saw another opportunity for community needs assessment as most PGs were on ground to reel out their community needs in order of priority – the essence is because the 2023 budget proposal will soon commence in the NASS and this is the best time to collect what is our best required needs into the budget for its capturing and inclusion. This is called “PARTICIPATORY GOVERNANCE” which promotes Projects Ownership and sustainability.
That is the workings of national politics and attraction of the countless dividends of democracy which Hon Princess Miriam Onuoha, is known for.
Others like “Ego bekee” Crooner, Chikwem who want to learn work should come to Hon. Princess for tutelage and major tutorials for FREE or better still pick an appointment as a legislative Aide to Hon. Miriam to learn and drop the sheer arrogance.
The meeting which also, provided an opportunity to present her SCORECARD, which has now become a reference point for other politicians who now learn from Hon. Princess Miriam Onuoha was adjourned to first week of December, when by God’s Grace, the people of Okigwe North will gather again with the electricity providers, to review the improvements made within the specified time frame.
From the above, it is clear that Chidiebube Okeoma and his sponsor, Mr “Ego Bekee, Chikwem Onuoha” is either aloof as usual or enemies of ndi Okigwe North Federal constituency again. Just like he displayed in his days as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor Ikedi Ohakim, to want to play politics with Okigwe Power issues. But the people shall vehemently resist such crude antic of desperate political jobbers, usurpers and consistent loser, who always desire to sacrifice their general benefits on the alter of selfish parochial interest. We urge the good people of Okigwe North and general public to continue to ignore them and their merchant reporter, like they’ve always done.
We also advise “Ego bekeeee” inspired Mr Chidiebube Okeoma to shun writing like a press agent of ancient Europe, who believed that the public is gullible, the play upon the innocence of the public through distortion of facts, deception, and churning fallacies through Media publicity, practise which world analyst describes as modern day terrorism.
