Encomium as Owo/Ose Reps Hopeful, Ogundare Bags Philanthropic Recognition Award
The Social Democratic Party (SDP) Candidate for the Owo/Ose House of Representatives seat, Hon. Oluwaseyi Gabriel Ogundare was on Sunday, 28th of August 2022 decorated with the philanthropic recognition award.
Ogundare, through his Foundation, The Ogundare’s Foundation, brought to life out of compassion for the less privileged and embarked on numerous developmental projects, and relief packages within and outside the Owo/Ose Federal Constituency.
OGO, as fondly called was honoured among other eminent individuals who have served as the catalysts for development in different fields of life.
The August event held in the heart of Akure, the Ondo State capital was organized by Chronicle Magazine, an independent news medium, that has been in existence for almost a decade, to serve as feedback between the government and the people.
Addressing newsmen at the event, Ogundare, the leading House of Representatives candidate in Owo/Ose federal constituency, highlighted some of the programmes and schemes of his foundation since its inception.
“We built some classroom blocks, and staff office at the Ijagba/Imoru comprehensive high school, rehabilitated a transformer in Ifon. And the recent is the scholarship programme tagged Back To School project, which is a scheme to support the children of the Owo massacre victims back to school from any class they are to the tertiary institution level. We currently have nothing less than 12 children on the scheme, all of this is done just to give back to the community.” He said.
The Imoru-born technocrat was praised by admirers, supporters, and political associates for his unprecedented passion for the emancipation of society.
