SMFEST Set to Empower Over 2000 Imo Youths with Technological skills October 22.
A company know as Social media fest over the weekend Announced their readiness to empower over 2000 thousand Imo youths with Technological skills to measure up with the world new media trending.
This was revealed during a press conference with some group of Journalists at their office, Silicon Africa Technologies LTD, 26 Wetheral road Owerri, on Friday,19th August, 2022.
According to the Convener, Ajah Excel, SMFEST is a goal, annual conference that brings the best and brightest minds in the world. it is a platform that teaches it’s audience how to leverage on the power of technology, social media and innovation to advance their business, brands and cause by providing ideas, exposure and insights that help people and business understand how to explore all the advantages of digitalization.
Ajah, further explained the three goals of SMfest, to be, to create a physical space for an army of young persons on social media, to utilize the forum to advance diverse creativities in technological industry and other careers and to reinforce positive values as a strategy for combating crime and deviance.
This event will brings together key technology and industry stakeholders, policymakers, influencers, venture capitalists, SMES, Startups and individuals to explore technology and social media in providing solutions that will drive the development of a better Imo state, southeast Nigeria and Nigerian at large.
This year event will be in continuation of their commitment to expose digital talent to opportunities and SMFEST Owerri will host the 1st ever hackathon in Southeast Nigeria, where creatives opportunity to develop a solution to digital problem in Nigeria and the winner will dance home with 1 million.
Furthermore, the event will have 3 Keynotes , 2 panels, 1fireside chat and 3work to be facilitated by Veteran industry experts like ; Obinna Ukachukwu, Ugochukwu Omeugo , Chukwuemeka Emmanuel, Chioma Ifeanyi Eze , Jude Umeanor and Emeka Nobis.
At the end of the program, Imo youths and participants , will be fully equipped with skills raging from future of blue oceans, Millennial tokens, online marketing and sales, social media strategy and so many more.
The event which will take place on the 22nd of October, 2022 at landmark events center , beside Protea hotels New Owerri, Imo state, will host an audience of over 2700 participants , that will cut across various Professions, including entrepreneurs, lawyers, doctors, engineers, nurses, secondary School leavers, undergraduate, job seekers, employers of labour, politicians, musicians, artists, teachers , bloggers who are between the ages of 16 -41 years or beyond.
