THE POWER OF YOUR THOUGHTS – PASTOR ISAAC OLUTIMEHIN
TEXT:
Proverbs 23:7 KJV.
“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee”.
MESSAGE:
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ If you are privileged to read this prayer message, please pay keen attention to what the Holy Spirit has to teach us today.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ It is very clear from our main bible verse that the man in question says a thing but the content of his heart differs.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ What this fellow says is contrary to what he actually thinks in his heart.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ This is very dangerous even to the man himself. Why?
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ The bible says, š
“for as he thinketh in his heart, so is he” – Proverbs 23:7.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ The danger is this beloved: the way you think in your heart models your life.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ If somebody offends you and you hold so much bitterness against him in your heart, you will always be attracted to people with bitter minds. Strange but true.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ For example, if you as a lady gets jilted by a man and you now think in your heart that every man out there is bad; then only bad men will always be asking for your hand in marriage. Strange but true.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ This is because you will be attracted to only those people whose description agrees with the content of your heart.
“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he” – Proverbs 23:7.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ Beloved, whatever you have programmed into your heart is what you will become.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ If you hate being rich and you are always thinking of poverty, you will end up being poor.
“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he”.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ There was this very popular television drama many years ago, titled “to be a millionaire, think like a millionaire”.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ The main message then agreed with our bible verse for today, “for as he thinketh in his heart, so is he”.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ If you always pretend to be happy when you come across people who are making progress in life while bitterness and wickedness fill your heart, your life can never experience progress and joy.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ What you allow to fill your heart is what you will become.
“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he”.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ Whatever you see physically may not necessarily model your life but what your heart sees.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ For example, if your eyes see success but failure fills your heart, you can never be successful in life.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ Moses sent twelve people to spy the land of Canaan, they all saw “impossibilities” because of the “Giants” in the land.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ However, the heart of Joshua and Caleb saw “possibilities” and they were the only two who made it to Canaan.
“And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it” – Numbers 13:30.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ Note that all the twelve spies saw “impossibilities” (Giants) in the land but the hearts of Joshua and Caleb saw possibilities to possess the land and they did.
“But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of the men that went to search the land, lived still” – Numbers 14:38.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ If you allow fear to dominate your heart, those things you are afraid of will surely happen to you.
“For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me” – Job 3:25.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ The prayers from the heart of man will God answer speedily rather than those from his lips.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ Somebody may lead you to pray a prayer point which your heart does not agree with, maybe you don’t understand the prayer point; the way your heart sees that prayer point is the result you will eventually get.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ God said š
“Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you” – Numbers 14:28.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ You need to check the way Hannah prayed at Shiloh to really appreciate this verse.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ The bible recorded š
“Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken” – 1Samuel 1:13.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ Note that there were no spoken words heard from Hannah. Only her heart prayed and God answered.
Ā¶Ā¶Ā¶ The prayers God will surely answer are those from the heart.
PRAYERS:
1. Father, please give me the grace to see possibility in every challenge starring me in the face.
2. Oh God my creator, grant me the power to overcome my fears in Jesus name.
3. I will fly over my mountains to my place of settlement in Jesus name.
4. I receive the sword of God to cut off the heads of my giants in Jesus name.
5. Father, bury every giant standing against me and my Canaan.
6. I uproot every root of bitterness in my heart holding grudges against my neighbour.
7. Every spirit of negativity and failure, projected into my life, you are a liar; die now in Jesus name.
8. I refuse to be limited by any negative thought in Jesus name.
9. The greatness I see in my spirit man is who I shall become.
10. In the name of Jesus, I shall become who the Lord has programmed and destined me to become.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
I pray for you today, may the Lord open your eyes to see the possibility buried in that impossibility starring you in the face.
I prophesy, your possibilities shall become possible in Jesus name.
I decree, every root of bitterness in your heart shall the Lord uproot today in Jesus name.
To someone out there, reading this prayer message, I command every seed of discord growing in your heart to die now in Jesus name.
May you become the miracle your heart sees you of becoming in Jesus name.
I prophesy, the success story scripted in your heart is what you shall become.
May you think right, act right and become who the Creator has destined you to become in Jesus mighty name.
