The commercial town of Ore in Ondo State was on Friday thrown into mourning as no fewer than eight people lost their lives in an accident that occured at Ajue axis of the Ondo-Ore road.
According to eyewitnesses, seven big cows also died in the accident.
The accident was said to have occured when an Akure-bound commercial picnic car had a head-on-collision with an Ore-bound cow carrying lorry while trying to dodge a pothole on the road.
It took the efforts of other motorists and residents around the area to remove the bodies of the victims from the accidented vehicles
Residents attributed the high rate of accidents in the area to the deplorable condition of roads in the area blaming the situation on the lackadaisical attitude of both federal and state government.
