Ondo Founding Fathers, Mimiko, Akeredolu, others inducted into Hall of Fame
As part of efforts to celebrate the contributions of founding fathers and notable individuals who have upped the ante in the society, the African IMPACT Magazine,a Pan-african publication has unveiled a book ‘Who Is Who” and inducted the founding fathers and some prominent personalities into Ondo State Hall of Fame Class of 2022.
The event which was declared open by His Excellency Oluwarotimi Akeredolu ably represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu at the Dome International Event Center, Akure, also had in attendance Basorun Seinde Arogbofa, Pa Reuben Fasoranti and Ondo State cabinet members.
According to the convener who also authored the book’Who Is Who in Ondo State’, Asiwaju Yinka Richards, the event was organized to celebrate the efforts of critical stakeholders in the State’s rebuilding process and document legacy of service in our society.
Asiwaju Yinka Richards also said the induction would further encourage the inductees to compliment the efforts of the founding fathers in the actualization of a greater Ondo State.
Among those inducted were; The former Afenifere leader and commissioner for finance under late Adekunle Ajasin’s administration, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, Basorun Seinde Arogbofa, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, Governor of Ondo State, Hon.Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Princess Oladunni Odu, Ondo State SSG, Dr.Olusegun Mimiko, former Governor of the State, Barr.Agboola Ajayi, former Deputy Governor, Sir. Charles Titiloye, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Prof.Dayo Faduyile, Special Adviser to the Governor on Health Matters, Mr.Olayato Aribo, Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Hon.Dele Ologun, Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mr.Nuel Elehinle, Surv.Kayode Oludare, Mr.Akinola Ojo, Hon.Balarabe Akinwumi, Dr.Thomas Wilson-Ikubese, Dr.Leke Adedipe, Prof.Emmanuel Fasakin, Mrs Olayinka Amodu-Michael, Mrs Remi Olu Akerele, Adeniyi Adegbonmire. The state Governor while commending the efforts of the author said such intellectual engagement would be encouraged in the state and urged individuals to support the organization
Highlights of the event was the official presentation of Who Is Who in Ondo State book publication by the Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu and reviewed by Dr.Gbenga Abimbola.
