Four Secondary School arrested for gang raping17-year-old Girl
Operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command has taken four teenage boys into custody over allegations of defiling a 17-year-old girl.
The suspects, aged between 16 and 17, were apprehended by the police on charges of criminal conspiracy and the sexual assault of a minor.
According to reports, the alleged crime involved the boys intoxicating the victim with a significant amount of beer before committing the act.
The Adamawa State Police Command confirmed the arrests in a statement released on November 25, 2024, by SP Suleiman Nguroje, the command’s spokesperson.
The statement reads: “The Adamawa State Police command has on Sunday, 24th November, 2024 apprehended and brought into custody four persons.
“During the course of investigation, the suspects confessed committing the crime, having unlawful carnal knowledge of the victim one after another.”
The individuals have been identified as Sukari Mathew (16), Collins Cambull (16), Barnabas Simon (17), and Ferdinand Mathew (17).
All four are students at Government Secondary School Sugu, located in Ganye Local Government Area.
The police statement further added :“Already, the Commissioner of Police CP Dankombo Morris, has ordered that the suspected minors be taken into protective custody pending the outcome of investigation and legal advice from the office of the Director of public prosecution (DPP).”
