Former President Donald Trump has cast his ballot in Florida.
Trump arrived at his voting precinct in Palm Beach with his wife, Melania Trump.
After voting, Trump said he is “very confident” of winning the election.
Trump said “it won’t even be close,” CNN reports.
“I feel very confident,” Trump said. “I hear we’re doing very well everywhere.”
“It won’t even be close,” Trump said. “But it’s gonna take a long time to certify.”
Trump has been vocal about his frustration regarding the time it takes to count election results, particularly with mail-in ballots.
He’s pointed to the French election as an example of a quick and efficient process.
In Pennsylvania, for instance, laws prohibit the processing of mail-in ballots until 7 a.m. on Election Day, which can lead to delays in reporting results. To mitigate this, Philadelphia officials have implemented an industrial-scale ballot-counting process, using machines that can scan and count thousands of ballots per hour.
