A devastating flood swept through Akure’s Araromi Area on October 20, 2024, claiming a 17-year-old girl. Prince Oriade Wellington Adebawo, Special Assistant to the Governor on Emergency Response, spearheads the rescue efforts.
*Rescue Operation Highlights*
– Prince Adebawo collaborates with Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) officials and officials of Ondo state fire service.
– The missing girl’s father was present throughout the search.
– The rescue team searched from 8 am to 4 pm, with Prince Adebawo personally joining the search by boat.
– Despite their efforts, the girl remains missing, but operations resume tomorrow.
