Lagos: Celebrant, musician, 2 others arrested for holding party on road
Operatives from the Lagos State Government have arrested five individuals for obstructing traffic and creating environmental nuisance on Raymond Njoku Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.
The suspects were arrested for blocking the major road during a birthday celebration thereby hindering seamless movement of vehicles, held at the weekend.
The suspects include celebrant, event planner, musician, among others.
The individuals arrested are: Omolara Ajetumobi, Event Planner, Ogundare Olubunmi, Celebrant, Ayodele Busuyi, Musician, Owoeye Adedayo, Sound Engineer and Akinola Akinkunmi, Vendor.
Senior official of the state Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, who preferred anonymity said, “They will all face prosecution in a court of competent jurisdiction in accordance with the relevant laws of the State.”
The State Government reiterated that no one is above the law and will not be permitted to disregard State regulations.
