2027: AA approves update of membership register nationwide

The National Think Tank Committee, NTTC, of the Action Alliance, AA, in a move to reposition the party for greater electoral fortunes ahead of 2027 general polls, has approved an update of the party’s membership register nationwide.
The update is ahead of the party’s wards, local governments, state congresses as well as the national convention.
National Secretary of Action Alliance, Vernimbe James, disclosed this in a statement he issued yesterday in Abuja.
The AA National Secretary said that this exercise is pursuant to Electoral Act 2022 (as amended) and Action Alliance 2005 Constitution (as amended).
He explained that “This important exercise is scheduled to commence on the 18th, October, 2024 to 31st December, 2024 at the party’s Ward headquarters from 9:00am to 4:00pm daily excluding Saturday and Sunday.
“All state chairmen are directed to ensure that eligible Nigerians of 18 years old and above willing to register with Action Alliance are given the opportunity to do so without delay.
“Party members across Nigeria and beyond are also directed to use this opportunity to revalidate their membership as only party members whose names are on the membership register of the party can participate in the upcoming party congresses and National Convention.”
