BBC Star Yung Filly Arrested In Australia For Alleged Rape

Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, also known as Yung Filly, has been accused of raping a woman in Australia following a nightclub performance.
The 29-year-old British YouTuber and BBC star was arrested in Brisbane and extradited to Perth, Mail Online reports.
The alleged assault occurred on September 28 in his hotel after a show at Bar1 Nightclub in Hillarys, Perth.
Barrientos has been charged with four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault, and one count of impeding normal breathing by applying pressure to the neck.
During his court appearance in Perth, Barrientos’ bail application was adjourned, and he remains in custody. Bar1 had marketed the event as “the ultimate evening escapade,” with MoshTix promoting it as “a seamless blend of spontaneity, humour, and music that’ll have you talking for weeks!”
Yung Filly’s career began in 2013, quickly gaining fame through YouTube collaborations with Beta Squad and Chunkz.
His rise saw him perform alongside British rapper Aitch, host the MOBO Awards, and even appear in videos with the Sidemen. His music career flourished with his track “Grey” gaining millions of views on YouTube and Spotify.
Filly has also ventured into television, hosting BBC shows like Hot Property and Yung Filly’s Celeb Lock-In, and appearing on The Great Celebrity Bake Off.
He has worked with fashion brands such as ASOS, Perplex, and major companies like McDonald’s and Primark.
With more than three million Instagram followers and 1.84 million YouTube subscribers, his social media presence is immense.
Filly has often expressed pride in his refugee background, having moved to the UK from Colombia as a child.
On his success, Filly has shared, “I’m most proud of the fact that I was a refugee. I’m proud that I had to struggle.”
