The Youth Wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Southern Senatorial District has warned the former member of the House of Representatives, Hon Albert Akintoye, popularly called SOT, to desist from recklessly taking every tom, dick and harry to Mr Governor in desperation for scoring cheap political points.

Speaking through the Secretary of the Youth Wing, Hon Daniel Kumapayi, the youths lamented the flippant rate at which Albert Akintoye had on been frequenting the governor’s office with members of the opposition, many of whom are merely acting as moles.

“As a party, there are intra-party and internal modalities for absorbing new members into the party. But Hon Akintoye been flouting established governing rules of the party at will by directly taking with every attention- seeking politician to the Governor. These are people who often time constitute political moles in the party. We are hereby calling out honourable Akintoye to desist from this embarrassing style.” Kumapayi noted.

Recall that SOT had taken Allhaji Fadilat Shielk Yusuf Abdulateef, aka Sheu Agba 001 of Ondo State, who is also the Chairman of Mobilisation Committee, Ondo PDP Gubernatorial Campaign Council Ondo South Senatorial District, to Governor Aiyedatiwa, and claiming that he had won the fellow’s heart and that of his followers for the APC.

In contrast, Alhaji Yusuf Abdulateef, in a statement, had denied joining the APC, as opposed to the false impression earlier created in the public space by Hon Akintoye.

The statement reads in part: “Hon Albert Akintoye from Irele LG and a prominent APC leader who reside in Ore town has been leading the onslaught to take me and my supporters back into the APC, a dream that can NEVER come to reality again. Akintoye and others have been lobbying me with cash and other incentives for me to join their party insisting that Mr Governor, H E Lucky Aiyedatiwa wants to meet with me in Akure a plea which I initially resisted but after much plea to give respect to the office of the Governor, I later met with Mr Governor in his office in Akure on Tuesday, 1st of October, 2024.”

“I want to use this medium to assure my supporters that we have made up our minds to follow the PDP after due consultation with our friends , family as well as spiritual consultations, I am very much convinced that me and my supporters are on the right path to prosperity with the PDP and Agboola Alfred Ajayi.” Abdulateef said.
