According to the latest data from Bloomberg’s Billionaire Index, Zuckerberg’s fortune has surged by an impressive $73.4 billion in 2024, bringing his total wealth to $201 billion.

The Meta CEO now ranks as the fourth richest person in the world, joining the exclusive $200 billion club, which has only three other members.

Ahead of Zuckerberg are Tesla and X CEO Elon Musk ($272 billion), Amazon founder Jeff Bezos ($211 billion), and LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault ($207 billion).

At 40, Zuckerberg, who launched Facebook in 2004, has most of his wealth tied to Meta Platforms stock. In 2024, Meta shares (META) have soared by nearly 64%. On Wednesday, they reached a record high of $568.31 before dipping slightly to $567.36 on Friday.

Meta owns popular platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and WhatsApp. Speaking at the Meta Connect 2024 event, Zuckerberg revealed that Meta AI is on its way to becoming the world’s most-used assistant, noting, “We’re almost at 500 million monthly active users, and we haven’t even launched in some of the bigger countries yet,” referencing EU nations.

Zuckerberg isn’t the only tech billionaire enjoying a wealth surge in 2024—Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison have seen their fortunes grow by $62.2 billion and $58.6 billion, respectively.
