Urgent Call for Road Safety: Tragic Road Accident in Akure, Ondo State: Emergency Response’s Reaction

We report a tragic road accident in Akure, Ondo State. A string of road accidents has occurred, and we urge caution to prevent further tragedies.
In immediate response to these devastating events, the Office of Emergency Response, under the leadership of Prince Oriade Wellington Adebawo, swiftly deployed a team to the scene of the accident. Through interviews and assessments conducted on-site, it became evident that reckless driving played a significant role in this incident.
Prince Oriade Wellington Adebawo, on behalf of his entire team, calls on all road users, both drivers and passengers, to recognize the grave responsibility that comes with being on the road. He particularly emphasizes the importance of adhering to road safety regulations and urges all drivers, especially truck drivers and Okada riders, to exercise extra caution and protect themselves. He urges all drivers to:

– Avoid reckless driving and speeding
– Never operate vehicles under the influence of alcohol or drugs
