*Youth Advocates For Peace Justice And Empowerment Network (YAPJEN) A Human Right and Good Governance Advocacy Organisation, has condemned in strongest terms the arrest, detention and turning into slavery of a Miss Glory Okolie a secondary school leaver who enrolled for 2021 Jamb Exam.
*It was reported that Miss Glory Okolie was arrested by the Nigeria Police Imo State Command on 17th June, 2021 without informing her family members who embarked on a fruitless search for her in hospitals and mortuaries without result until the ending of June, 2021 after a young man who was freed from IRT office Tiger Base Owerri told the Okolie family that he saw Glory in the custody of IRT officers cooking and washing clothes for them.*
It was reported that “The family members visited IRT office and requested to see Glory and bail her out and till date it’s been one story to another while the IRT officers allegedly continued to extort the family and denied them access to see Glory”.

*Youth Advocates For Peace Justice And Empowerment Network (YAPJEN) Is hereby joins other Activist around Nigeria to demand for the immidiate release of Miss Glory Okolie who was neither charged to any court of competent jurisdiction nor convicted for any known offence but has been held against her will for over seventy (70) days in the most degrading and dis humanising form while denying her access to legal representation.*
YAPJEN further calls on IGP Complaint Response Unit IRT head DCP Tunji Disu to rescue Glory who has now become a maid in Nigeria police custody.
Attached are evidences of all the money extorted and paid into an account provided by the IRT officers by the family of Glory.
