A Nigerian Patriot, astute entrepreneur and a member of the Cubana group, Sir Nnamdi Chu Iyiegbu (Nnanyelugo) has called for an attitudinal change and the entrenchment of core values in the polity for Nigeria to maintain its leadership role in Africa and emerge as one of the leading nations of the world.

 

Speaking at “The Cubana Parliament” a convergence of intellectuals and professionals from divergent backgrounds, who believes in the Nigerian project and working assiduously in their individual capacities to make indelible positive imprint on Nigeria.

 

Chief Nnamdi Iyiegbu stated that Nigeria lies on the cusp of greatness, having natural and human resources in abundance when properly harnessed has the potential to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, African Union Agenda 2063 as well as lift millions of people out of poverty.

He called on the government to prioritise the rejuvenation of the Nigerian economy, address the protracted power and fuel crises which has gravely affect the citizenry.

He appealed to the independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to strength Nigeria’s democratic and political institutions by implementing
the electoral reforms project
and guarantee the integrity of the electoral process.

He further called on Nigerians to elect selfless, non- corrupt and committed leaders who will deligently turn the socio-political and economic predicament facing Nigeria today into a stepping stone to Nigeria’s greatness.
