MEANWHILE , a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Hon Julius Bokoru, has condemned in strong terms the violence that ensued at the early hours of today in Kpansia, Yenagoa

Bokoru, who is the Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs and also a member of the national Petroleum Industry Act Implementation Committee, warned sponsors of violence in the Yenagoa Metropolis to desist and go about their political ambitions with sanity.

‘It pains me because I am a full Yenagoa man, I grew here and I am also from Yenagoa Local Government Area. Our dear Local government which is also the capital of the state used to be a very peaceful place, not until some PDP desperados began investing in violence as a political tactic

‘This is our local government and our state, we cannot allow it burn. I will be making an official report, as a private citizen, to the security agencies to fish out the parties involved in today’s unrest which was characterised by arson, gunshots, Yenagoa son’s critically wounded and cars torched.

‘I understand a state assembly man and a serving commissioner might be harassing themselves over the Yelga/Kolga House of Reps ticket in the PDP, well, its laughable because the APC will beat whoever rigs his way to their ticket’

Hon Bokoru urged APC members in Yenagoa to remain firm and calm and the spokesman to Nigeria’s energy chief is certain that in the spirit of fairness APC will produce, as usual, credible candidates for the forthcoming elections
