2023 Elections : Okigwe Stakeholders Drums Support For Governor Uzodinma ‘ s Administration And APC Candidates .
APC faithful in Okigwe LGA trouped out enmass at the Mayoral Office to usher in the Consultation Train of the Party’s candidates for the Senate Hon. Patrick Ndubueze , House of Representatives Hon.Princess Miriam Onuoha and Okigwe State Constituency IMHA Hon. Chidi Ogbunikpa .
On hand to receive the Consultation Train were the Honourable Commissioner for Youth/Sports Hon. Dan Ogu , Hon. Lady Nkechi Mbonu Sole Administrator Okigwe LGA , Hon . Chukwudi Ikpo APC Chairman Okigwe LGA , Hon. Emeka Okoronkwo former Chairman Imo State House of Assembly Service Commission , Chief Ejiogu Charles TPM former Special Adviser to the Governor , Hon. Dr Lina Okereke former Special Adviser to the Governor , Hon. Sunny Ndukwe Co–ordinator Okigwe North Development Centre , Hon . Acho Asiegbu Co–ordinator Okigwe South Development Centre and Hon. The All Progressive Chairman, APC Okigwe LGA Hon. Chukwudi Ikpo in his speech pledged support from grassroot structure ahead of 2023 general election to ensure the elections of our Sons and Daughters who are candidate of our great party.
In their separate speeches , the APC Candidates thanked the LGA and Ward Executives for finding them worthy enough for nomination as candidates of the party and assured that as soon as the ban on electioneering campaign is lifted by the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC ) , they will return to Okigwe LGA and formally unfold their respective manifestos to Okigwe electorate .
In her remarks , the Sole Administrator of Okigwe LGA Hon. Lady Nkechi Mbonu congratulated the three candidates on the nomination and pledged that she will work assiduously with leaders of APC and other critical stakeholders in Okigwe to ensure victory for all the candidates of the party in forthcoming 2023 general elections .
Hon. Lady Nkechi Mbonu also appealed to Okigwe electorate not to relent in their massive support for Governor Hope Uzodinma ‘s Shared Prosperity Administration that has factored Okigwe LGA into the scheme of things such as renovation of the Council Secretariat , reconstruction of Owerri Road , construction of Stadium etc .
