It was gathered that the deceased had been grappling with severe financial challenges, which reportedly began when he resumed his studies last year.

However, the situation worsened after the loss of his father a few years ago, leaving his mother, a retired school teacher, as the sole provider for his academic needs.

Meanwhile, despite her efforts, the financial burden became insurmountable.

Colleagues and friends of the deceased disclosed that they had previously rallied together to raise funds to cover his tuition fees and provide basic necessities like food.

However, the efforts were not enough to alleviate the mounting pressure he faced.

The incident occurred last weekend when the student’s roommate left for lectures.

Upon returning, the roommate discovered the lifeless body and a poignant note left behind by the deceased.

In the note, the student expressed his inability to cope with his dire financial situation, citing it as the reason for his decision to end his life.

However, the roommate immediately raised the alarm, prompting an investigation into the incident.
