HAND IT OVER TO GOD – Pastor Isaac Olutimehin
TEXT:
Psalm 37:5 KJV
Commit thy way unto the Lord ; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
MESSAGE
1. Whatever situation you are passing through, just hand it over to God and he will surely take over. It’s over when God takes over.
¶¶¶ Has the enemies come threatening you? Hand them over to God.
¶¶¶ Sennacherib, king of Assyria, came to threaten Hezekiah, listen to what he said 👇
2 Kings 18:33-35 KJV.
Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered at all his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?
[34] Where are the gods of Hamath, and of Arpad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah? have they delivered Samaria out of mine hand?
[35] Who are they among all the gods of the countries, that have delivered their country out of mine hand, that the Lord should deliver Jerusalem out of mine hand?
¶¶¶ See how Hezekiah handled his case 👇
2 Kings 19:14.
And Hezekiah received the letter of the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up into the house of the Lord, and spread it before the Lord.
¶¶¶ Now see how God responded 👇
“And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the Lord went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses” – 2 Kings 19:35.
¶¶¶ Now look at what happened to Sennacherib next 👇
“So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh”.
[37] “And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword: and they escaped into the land of Armenia. And Esar-haddon his son reigned in his stead” – 2 Kings 19:36-37.
- Beloved, it doesn’t matter how perfect or good you think you are, still hand over your ways into God’s hand.
¶¶¶ Remember the Titanic ship?
¶¶¶ The Titanic was designed by the Irish shipbuilder William Pirrie and built in Belfast, and was thought to be the world’s fastest ship. It spanned 883 feet from stern to bow, and its hull was divided into 16 compartments that were presumed to be watertight.
¶¶¶ Before her first sail, the builder was asked to comment on how safe the ship was and he responded: “not even God can sink the Titanic”. On April 15, 1912; at about 2am, the Titanic sank, killing about 1,500 passengers out of a total of 2,200 on board.
¶¶¶ Again hear yet another story: Some drunk youths were traveling in a car, the mother of a lady traveling along with them came near the car and said, “my daughter let Jesus go with you”. They all laughed and said, “mama you can see that the car is filled up, there is no space for your Jesus inside the car except if he can manage the boot”. On their way, the car had a terrible accident, they were all crushed to death beyond recognition. Only the boot of the car, where they asked Jesus to manage, was not affected. Not even one of the crate of eggs kept in the boot was broken.
- Beloved, if you offend anyone and he/she says “I hand you over to God”; please don’t take it for jokes.
¶¶¶ A lady was being harassed by her lecturer because she refused to sleep with him. The lecturer threatened to fail her in the final exams, after she pleaded and pleaded and the man remained adamant, she said to the lecturer, “I hand over my case to God sir”. The lecturer smiled and replied, so it’s your God who will come and mark your papers, right? The same lecturer had a terrible accident and was hospitalized. Another lecturer supervised the examination, marked the lady’s scripts and she passed with flying colours.
- When you allow God to take over your case, he can overturn even the doctor’s reports.
¶¶¶ My own testimony: Many years ago, my wife was in labour, set to deliver. I took her to the RCCG maternity center at Ebute Metta. Labour later ceased and the nurses said she wouldn’t deliver again that day. When I protested, I was asked to take her for scan: Scan report said she would deliver next 2 weeks and the baby would be a girl. I handed over the whole situation to God. First my wife must deliver that day. I already told the children your mommy would deliver today, my last born then was already 10 years old. So how would I go back to explain that mommy couldn’t deliver again. Secondly, I already have 2 girls and I needed one more boy and scan said another girl was coming. So I asked God to take control. 30 minutes later my wife delivered and I was dancing all over the place. The nurses said I didn’t even ask whether boy or girl and I said “not necessary”. God has proved scan wrong. The nurses said, you are a man of God, it’s a baby boy.
¶¶¶ Hear yet another testimony. A lady was always suffering abortion of her pregnancy whenever she was 6 months pregnant. She went to her doctor and after various tests were conducted, it was discovered that her womb was too small to carry a baby beyond 6 months. She came to the holy ghost service and God said through our father in the Lord, pastor E.A Adeboye that God has cancelled the doctor’s reports and that she would testify soon. She claimed it and became pregnant again. 9 months later she delivered 4 babies at a time. Same womb that couldn’t carry one baby, carried 4 successfully for nine months.
- Are you experiencing some financial difficulties? Hand it over to God.
¶¶¶ In 2 Kings 4:1-7, the wife of one of the sons of the prophets was to lose her two sons, as bondmen, for the debt owed by her late husband; she handed over her case to God and there was a divine intervention.
¶¶¶ Again in 1 Kings 17:8-16, the woman of Zarephath was to eat her last meal with her son and die, but she surrendered the meal to God and there was a divine provision.
¶¶¶ Hear this final testimony: A man woke up one day to receive a phone call from his children’s school that they would be sent home because he hadn’t paid their school fees. Same day, his landlord called to tell him to get ready to move out of the house because he was owing rent. Finally, his friend called him that he would be coming with the police to arrest him because of the money he was owing him. He looked up to heaven and said, “Oh God, please take over”. About 2 hours later he received a credit alert of #10 million naira from the company he had contract with but hadn’t paid him all along. His 3 major debts were settled in one day.
¶¶¶ Beloved, God has not changed. He’s still in the business of performing miracles, signs and wonders; even beyond number.
¶¶¶ Hand over your entire being to him and you will surely testify.

PRAYERS
1. My life is in your hand Lord, make me a living signs and wonders to my generation.
2. Father, you cannot fail; please let my life become a testimonial of your faithfulness.
3. In my darkest moments, please Lord show yourself strong on my behalf.
4. For those who have written me off, father, let my testimonies mock and silence them.
5. I refuse to become an example of negative reports in Jesus name.
6. Father, let every impossibility become possible in my life.
7. Oh God my father, I believe in you Lord, turn my situation around for good in Jesus name.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
May you not doubt God at your own detriment in Jesus name.
I decree and declare, your testimonies shall become the prayer points for others in Jesus name.
I prophesy, from today; your prayer requests shall turn to testimonies in Jesus name.
Your prayer points will not enter into God’s voice mail but I prophesy, instant miracles, signs and wonders without number, shall be your portion in Jesus name.
Those who are trying to stand on your way shall the Lord position to become your ladder to breakthrough in Jesus mighty name.
You will not do things that will make God to turn against you.
I decree, you shall become the man/woman after God’s own heart in Jesus name.
Your case has received the heavens divine attention.
It’s your turn to celebrate.
