LIFE HAS NO REMOTE CONTROL, IT’S NOT YOUR TV SET – Pastor Isaac Olutimehin

“When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole”?
MESSAGE:
☆☆☆ Jesus was going about preaching the gospel and healing the sick.
☆☆☆ He came to a pool in Jerusalem where there were so many sick people waiting for the “troubling” of the water.
“For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had” John 5:4.
☆☆☆ There was this sick man who decided to be sleeping beside the pool, thinking he would be the first to step into the pool after an angel of God had troubled the water.
☆☆☆ He was in that same position for 38 years without being able to step into the pool and be healed.
☆☆☆ This will bring us to the main point for today. For the bible says 👇
“When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case…” – John 5:6.
☆☆☆ Jesus didn’t ask the man how long he had been in that problem but the bible recorded that Jesus “knew that he had been now a long time in that case”.
☆☆☆ Beloved, the question is, if Jesus knew he had been there a long time, why didn’t he come before now to heal him?
☆☆☆ Better still, the bible says 👇
“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions” – Psalm 107:20.
¶¶¶ Jesus himself said 👇
“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life” – John 6:63.
☆☆☆ So, why didn’t Jesus speak the word before now to make the sick man whole?
☆☆☆ Beloved, God will never contradict himself. For the bible says 👇
“Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you” – Numbers 14:28.
¶¶¶ Jesus himself also said 👇
“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you” – Matthew 7:7.
☆☆☆ Beloved, check through the story of that sick man by the pool of Bethesda, he never at any time cried out for help.
☆☆☆ Even when Jesus came around, he was still quiet until the mercy of God located him. This man might be sick but the bible didn’t tell us that he was deaf or blind. So he could see, talk and hear; yet he did nothing about his own case.
☆☆☆ Even when Jesus asked him 👇
“Wilt thou be made whole”? Meaning, ‘are you tired of this situation’?
☆☆☆ Check his response to a very straight forward question 👇
“The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me” – John 5:7.
☆☆☆ The sick man became a story teller.
¶¶¶ Beloved, life has no remote control, unlike your television set, if you are tired of your viewing channel; get up in the place of prayers and change the channel.
☆☆☆ Don’t just sit on the same spot expecting change to come.
☆☆☆ It was a different ball game with blind Bartimaeus in Mark 10:46-52. Though he was blind, because he wasn’t deaf and dumb, he cried out unto the Lord for help and help came.
☆☆☆ Beloved, many Christians today are like the sick man by the pool of Bethesda. Yes, God knows about your case but have you called on him for help?
☆☆☆ Have you taken your challenges unto God in prayers?
☆☆☆ Even when some people think they are praying, many are challenging God while many others are murmuring against God and complaining.
☆☆☆ Many today are living a life of complacency. If God will do it, let him do it.
☆☆☆ Beloved, don’t expect a miracle if you are satisfied with your current situation.
☆☆☆ For the bible says 👇
“And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick” – Luke 5:31.
☆☆☆ Jesus again said 👇
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” – Matthew 11:28.
☆☆☆ Until a man is tired of his situation and cries unto God, he too may be there for more than thirty eight years.
☆☆☆ Beloved, are you tired of managing that problem on your own? Cry to the Lord in prayers today and solution will surely come.
PRAYERS
1. Oh God my father, you are the helper of the helpless, am tired of my situation; please help me Lord.
2. My father, my father, deal with those challenges of my life which are almost becoming part of my other names.
3. Every challenge, challenging the authority of God in my life, I silence you now in Jesus name.
4. Oh you powers of my mother’s house, oh you demonic powers of my father’s house, your time is up; lose your hold over my life in Jesus name.
5. You spirit of fruitless efforts, I am not your candidate, free me now in Jesus name.
6. Every spirit of frustration and disappointment at the peak of breakthrough, what are you waiting for; scatter now in Jesus name.
7. Every mark of the devil upon my life, making me a candidate of affliction, blood of Jesus: wipe it off now in Jesus name.
8. The siege is over in my life and those of my children from today in Jesus name.
9. Father, please; my case is urgent, let there be a speedy divine intervention now in Jesus name.
10. It is my turn to testify in Jesus name.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
I pray for somebody today and I prophesy, Jesus is stepping into your situation right now.
I decree and declare, every seal the enemy has used to cover your mouth shall be removed from today in Jesus name.
May you be tired of your current situation in Jesus name.
Receive the boldness of blind Bartimaeus to cry to the Lord for help.
I decree, declare and prophesy, your cries for help will not enter into voice mail in Jesus name.
The mercy of God will locate you from today.
That fellow reading this prayer message on your sick bed, I prophesy, you are healed and made whole now in Jesus name.
Your healing is settled.
Woman, be fruitful and multiply in Jesus name.
To everyone expectant of a miracle, I prophesy, your case is settled now in Jesus name.
Remain refreshed and blessed in the wonderland of the atmosphere of miracles.
