18 Modalities of Regional Government
1: No more FAAC.
2: no more National Minimum Wage
3: each region will pay wages according to revenue capacity.
4: there would be a central armed forces and police who can intervene in any region at any time.
5: the region must credit Central Govt as agreed. So, the region funds FG.
6: The region can’t open embassy office in any country. They are not country on their own. They can’t appoint Commissioner or Minister of Foreign Affairs.
7: Regional govts are allowed to have their own police but limited in operations.
8: FG has a power to declare state of emergency when on a region
9: Regional govts have more power over their resources. Sharing formula that protects FG would be put in place.
10: Healthy competition among the region would be encouraged.
11: only House of Representatives would be allowed. Senate would be scrapped.
12: Access to ports would be allowed to all.
13: Lagos would not be part of South West region because of ports and centralized banking activities.
14: Lagos would be under FG
15: no more PENCOM. Each regional govt determines that.
16: Pensioners entitlement would be transferred to each region via your state of origin.
17: FG will provide take off grant for each regional govt.
18: regional govt will not fly. So rest una nonsense talks.
