Owo House of Assembly Hopeful, Begins Campaign tour, Promises Mass Employment if Elected
The People’s Democratic Party candidate for Owo Constituency 1, Ondo State Assembly, Hon. Chief Abiodun Adebayo, popularly known as Abbey Shoprite, has commenced his campaign tour for the forthcoming State Assembly Election.
Amidst fanfare and jubilation, Hon. Abiodun was welcomed by the residents of the Isuada community at Idashe/Isuada Ward where he met party faithfuls and teeming supporters to further express his desire to represent the people of Owo constituency 1 in the next political dispensation.
In his welcome address, the Owo Local Government PDP Chairman, Chief Saba expressed the readiness of the party to democratically claim the mandate of the constituency and urged the party members to work relentlessly to ensure that Hon. Abiodun gets massive votes in the forthcoming election.
Similarly, Hon. Modebola, a former Councilor and Director General of Abbey Shoprite campaign greeted all members of the party. He stated that he is aware of the hardship they are enduring due to maladministration of the ruling party. He however assured the gathering that PDP is on a rescue mission, as such, people of the constituency should engage themselves in possible means of realizing the mission.
Corroborating earlier speakers, Chief Saliu, a two-term Chairman of the party in Owo Local Government who is also the Second-in-command Chief in Isuada community urged the residents and other communities to vote out the ruling party for the hardship they imposed on the citizens and for neglecting the educational sector keeping students at home unnecessarily.
Earlier speaking, Hon. Chief Abiodun Adebayo promised to deliver democratic dividends to the people of the community and the constituency at large.
“I have been doing this before now, I have employed hundreds of Owo citizens in Shoprite. I will create more employment opportunities and build infrastructures across the constituency”.
