WATCH OUT!!! HE COULD BE A JONADAB – Pastor Isaac Olutimehin
TEXT:
2 Samuel 13:32 KJV.
“And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David’s brother, answered and said, Let not my lord suppose that they have slain all the young men the king’s sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the appointment of Absalom this hath been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar”.
MESSSGE
☆☆☆ This was the account of the death of Ammon, one of king David’s children.
☆☆☆ Remember Ammon? He was the man that slept with his own sister, Tamar, who happened to be Absalom’s junior sister.
☆☆☆ Tamar and Absalom were both children of David from the same mother but Ammon was from another mother and also David’s son.
☆☆☆ It was this same Jonadab who counseled Ammon and thought him the trick to lure Tamar to bed, 2 Samuel 13:5.
☆☆☆ After that incident, Absalom was determined to avenge the rape of his sister by Ammon, 2 Samuel 13:22.
☆☆☆ Now, the same Jobadab knew about the plans of Absalom for 2 full years to avenge and yet did nothing about it, neither did he inform Ammon who he called his friend, 2 Samuel 13:23.
☆☆☆ I have given this background story for the purpose of today’s message and prayers.
☆☆☆ Coming back to our main business for the day:
☆☆☆ The same Jonadab was now the fellow who ran to David to announce the death of Ammon, his friend.
☆☆☆ Look at the way he presented the news of the death of Ammon with ignominy: for only Ammon is dead.
☆☆☆ For God’s sake, so Ammon was not human being for Jonadab to have given such a report about his death!!! What a friend.
☆☆☆ Beloved, there are still friends like Jonadab out there today.
☆☆☆ Watch out for them and be careful.
☆☆☆ It may amaze you to find out that many of them are in the church of God today.
☆☆☆ They will be the same to give you wrong counsels but when trouble comes, they will also be the first to report it.
☆☆☆ Some will even say “but we warned him”.
☆☆☆ When you begin to notice some unnecessary closeness, watch out.
☆☆☆ That fellow may be a Jonadab who wants to derail you from the part of success.
☆☆☆ They may suddenly begin to tell you their own challenges just to get you to open up on yours, so they can step into your life.
☆☆☆ See the way the bible described them 👇
“For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood” – Proverbs 1:16.
☆☆☆ They are always busy looking for lives to destroy.
☆☆☆ If they partner with anyone in business, that business will go bankrupt.
☆☆☆ They are polluters of lives and destroyers of glorious destinies.
PRAYERS
1. Oh Lord, please expose and uproot from my life any Jonadab who has maneuvered his way into my life.
2. Father, open my spiritual eyes to see any Jonadab trying to step into my life.
3. I grab the spiritual duster of God and I wipe out every mark of identification for affliction placed upon my life through the activities of any Jonadab in Jesus name.
4. I erase my name and those of my family members from the record of Jonadab in Jesus name.
5. Father, help me to reject every ungodly counsel meant to mislead me in Jesus name.
6. Polluters of lives and destroyers of glorious destinies, you have all failed over my life in Jesus name.
7. Father, let the news of my elevation send my hitherto mockers into hiding in Jesus name.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
I pray for you today, may the Lord expose and deliver you from every friend like Jonadab, hiding in your life in Jesus name.
I decree, every friend who appears friendly but busy digging your grave shall fall into his own plot in Jesus name.
May you not become a victim of wrong counsels in Jesus name.
Jonadab rejoiced over the death of Ammon who he called his friend, I prophesy, every enemy waiting to rejoice in your calamity shall end up in shame in Jesus name.
You will not enter into the trap set for you by those you think are your friends.
I prophesy, your promotion shall send confusion into the camp of your enemies in Jesus name.
Once again I prophesy, when those who thought you would fail hear about your success story, they shall all hide their faces in shame in Jesus name.
There is no true friend like Jesus, may you not forsake his counsel in Jesus name.
The Lord bless you.
The Lord will keep you.
The Lord shall sustain you in Jesus name.
