The Students’ Union leaders across the Federal Constituency of Owo/Ose had a meeting with the Member, House Of Representatives, Federal Republic Of Nigeria. Hon. Timehin Adelegbe at Akure, Yesterday.

The meeting, which was called by the incumbent MHR and APC candidate for House Of Reps in the forthcoming election, was targeted at pacifying the Students’ Union leaders and making a headway towards progress, regarding issues that concerns the Students in his constituency.

The Students’ Union leaders, ably represented by the two Local Governments Students’ President, amidst other executives from their respective Unions, held the meeting without any form of fracas from the pre-existing issues and a reasonable compromise was reached.

The Students’ Union leaders were given the chance to present their agitations.

The National President of Ose Students Association requested for inclusiveness of the Students body in the affairs of the constituency, which will help bridge the communication gap and strengthen the relationship between the MHR and Students, as seen in other constituencies.

He also requested for career placements as their Union have a large number of finalists at the moment.

The National President of Owo Local Government Students’ Union presented several projects they has in mind to the MHR, which includes distribution of exercise books, Eyeglasses and other health related materials to community members.

However, Upon several debates and deliberations, the MHR assured them of proper involvement in the affairs of the Federal Constituency, Grant bursaries amidst other benefits, Scholarship awards and trust funds, provision of vehicle and other needs, the Unions has earlier asked for. And right at the meeting, the MHR made a promise of one million Naira to be shared between the Unions, in few days to come for their Propose program

Afterwards, the Students Union leaders applauded the MHR by stating that, his conflict resolution skills and show of leadership is top notch and by so, he’s worthy of being in the helm of affairs of the constituency.

Afterwards, they pledged their total support for the re-election of the MHR and assured him of avoiding previous misunderstanding.
