Akama Amankwo Ngwo people cries for Help – SOS
Ever since R.C.C started excavating stones, sands in Akama Amankwo community, the community has known no peace, ranging from the sharing formula to misappropriation/ diversion of the millions paid to the village chairman.
There has been series of agitation from different quarters especially from the youth wing,down to various kindreds in the community, an act that caused upheaval if not for the kind intervention of Elites in Akama Ngwo.
The excavations carried so far affected the supply of water to government house.
Which resulted to the sudden visit of the water cooperation to the scene.
As at the time of filling this report, excavations have stopped.
But the major challenge now is that erosions have wrecked havoc in the area, as the vicinity experienced serious deforestation.
Trees planted by the Enugu state forestry commission have been brought down according to the directives of the chairman of Akama amankwo community by name Mr Patrick Eze and the.
The commercialization of of the firewood have commenced without the notice of the state ministry of forestry….
Despite the plea by concerned citizens to desist from the cutting down of trees planted by the Enugu state government to checkmate erosions…
Youths have on different occasions cautioned those involved in the illegal falling down of trees as it will affect the entire community in the nearest future.
