Billionaire Business Man, Jimoh Ibrahim on Tuesday morning called Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu threatening to bring down his government if he loses the Senatorial shadow poll of the All Progressives Congress (APC) scheduled for Friday 27th May, 2022.
To prevent a bitter experience, the Business Man has told all Delegates to pick up a cheque of #1million on the morning of the primary election which will mature on Monday Morning.
A Source who was with the controversial Billionaire when he made the phone call to Akeredolu this morning said he spent over #500million on Akeredolu’s second term campaign with a commitment from Akeredolu to Return him to reckoning in Nigerian National Politics.
“Ibrahim was very mad with Akeredolu when he spoke to him on the phone. He was hoping that Mathew Oyerinmade is his only strong opponents but the reality now is that the Governor’s men are backing another candidate.
“Akeredolu, through his corporate friends, are backing another candidate because some strong men within the government in Ilaje, Ese-Odo and Odigbo are rooting deeply for the candidate. The candidate is also ready to match us money-for-money. In fact, he plans for One Million Naira per delegate.
“Oga told Akeredolu to be ready for the battle of his life he doesn’t win the APC ticket. He has told the Governor to prepare for Mimiko’s treatment. You know Oga when it comes to fighting people through the courts. He is a veteran in that aspect.
“The worst is while other candidates are prepared to share physical naira and dollars, Jimoh Ibrahim is preparing to issue a post-dated cheque to all Delegates. He is not ready to take a chance. He will be issuing a cheque of #1million to each Delegate on Friday morning that will mature on Monday”, a Source who works closely with Jimoh Ibrahim, said.
