The people Democratic party Publicity Secretary in Owo local government Area of Ondo State, Akogun Olaniyi Folahanmi Has congratulated the party and all the winners in the just concluded party Primaries in the local government and the entire ondo North Senatorial District.
The congratulatory message was contained in a statement duly signed by Akogun Olaniyi Folahanmi released to our heritage reporter.
According to him, the conclusion of the just conducted primaries in Owo is a pointer that the party is ascending towards the peak of internal democracy, and a demonstration of the true potential of the party to drive and gravitate our dear country into the state of unprecedented economic growth and better welfare for her citizens, without interference or manipulation of our fragile democracy.
True democracy is embedded in the culture of the People’s Democratic Party, which has been proven again unlike the opposition party fond of imposition of candidates that lacks the prerequisite character to represent and deliver good governance to the people.
*My deepest Congratulations to our* *Incoming Senator Akogun Adetokunbo Modupe TPT* who emerged victoriously in the primary to represent Ondo North in the Red Chambers of the National Assembly, *Rt Hon. Ayo Arowele* who emerged as the party flag bearer to occupy Owo/Ose seat in the Green Chambers of the National Assembly Abuja, *Chief Abiodun Adebayo* and *Hon. Kehinde Ajanaku* who are to respectively represents Owo in Ondo State House of Assembly. I extend my congratulations to our *Indefatigable Party Chairman High Chief Olafimihan Okeowo Asaba*, PDP party faithfuls and leaders that made sure there was no form of violence or disruption to the process, as they comport themselves in orderly manner to make sure these primaries was flawless success.
The election was keenly contested by heavyweights of the party members but as we all know we can only have one flag bearer for each positions to be filled. The Leadership of the party has again proven they are trustworthy as they conducted a truly free, fair, transparent and credible primaries for all positions to be filled. And of course, all these wasn’t achieved without the co-operation of the critical stakeholders and the energetic youths of the party.
I must attest to the spirit of sportsmanship and fellowship between all candidates for the primaries as they reiterated the genuine Unity within the party and their confidence in the process that produced the flag bearers. This is a pointer to the sincere love for the party in the heart of *Hon. Samuel Adeyeri Ashami* , *Hon. Ijalana Olabode* , *Hon. Orimoloye Saibu* , *Dr Bode Ayorinde*, *Hon. Oluwaseyi Gabriel Ogundare OGO* and *Hon. Foluso Mayowa Adefemi FMA* as they demonstrated the spirit of brotherhood within the party.
Magnanimity in victory and gracefulness in defeat is the right way to ensure cohesive unity within the party as we go all out in Unity to wrestle and seize power from the incompetent, failed and rejected opposition party. This is a time to be careful and calculative, as we swim through the murky waters of politics to achieve our common interest of usurping power, and delivering good governance to the citizens of our constituency.

Unity is the most important ingredient in securing those positions we desire even as we rebuild our party to stand the test of time.
